Application Instructions for Sticker Sheets with Transfer Tape

Thank you for purchasing this product, or for considering purchasing it! To ensure you have a lot of fun with it, I'm giving you a few tips on its use and handling.

For stickers that are either very large (e.g., "Sterntaler" - Christmas Star) or very complex (e.g., "Weihnachtsbogen" - Christmas Arch), you use an auxiliary film, called transfer film, to apply them. This is the matte, milky film that adheres to the top of the design. The design itself adheres to the backing paper, which is the paper-like, thicker material beneath the design. 

The stickers are made from high-quality vinyl film. They adhere very well and long-lastingly to almost all smooth surfaces. It's important that the surface is clean, dry, and grease-free. Then, all you really need for successful adhesion is a little skill. 😊

Applying your design 

If you have a sticker sheet with different designs, choose your design and cut it out generously with scissors. 

If you have a full design, proceed directly to the next step.

The area where the design is to be placed must first be cleaned. It should be dust and grease-free above all.

Now, turn the design over and carefully peel off the backing paper at a sharp angle. Proceed very carefully and make sure that all parts of the design remain adhered to the transfer film. Take your time with this. 😌

TIP: For very delicate designs, it is best to start at the simplest part (e.g., the stem for flowers) and peel towards the more complex, finer parts (e.g., the bloom).

Now your design adheres to the transfer film. Position the design and try to apply it to the desired spot without creases using the transfer film. Press firmly, possibly with a squeegee, an old credit card, or a dough scraper, and smooth out any bubbles towards the edges.

Peel off the transfer film again at a sharp angle. It's best to start again at a less delicate spot.

If you follow all these instructions, take your time, and have patience, you will successfully showcase your chosen design on your glass, window, or mirror. And even if not everything goes perfectly with the first smaller designs, remember:
